About Us
Forests sustain us all. Our network ensures that women’s expertise, leadership, and voices sustain the forestry sector too.

The Story Behind Of Our Movement
The Female Forester Network of Nepal was formed to address the long-standing gender gaps in forestry education, practice, research, and leadership. Although women play a vital role in forest conservation and community forestry in Nepal, their representation in decision-making, technical roles, and global platforms remains limited.
FFNN serves as a national platform for networking, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and global exposure for foresters, environmental professionals, researchers, students, and practitioners, regardless of gender, who believe in equality and sustainability.
We are informal in structure, inclusive in spirit, and national in impact.

- Our Vision: A forestry sector in Nepal where women and men have equal opportunities, voices, and leadership roles in managing forests, biodiversity, and natural resources sustainably.
